* The heaviest person in history was Jon Minnoch of Bainbridge Island, Washington, who in 1978 was 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighed more than 1,403 pounds.
* The heaviest woman was Rosalie Bradford, also of the US, who weighed 1,202 pounds in 1987.
* The most prolific mother was the wife of Feodor Vassilyev, who had 69 children between 1725 and 1765. The most prolific living mother is Leontina Albina of San Antonio, Chile, who has 55 children.
* The record for most pushups in 24 hours is held by Charles Servizio, in Fontana, California, in 1993: 46,001.
